Personally, I don't think the Constitution is so much "divine" as it is simply wise and insightful. One of the founding fathers' key goals, being a goal of democracy in general, was to enact the will of the majority while protecting the rights of the minority. Ultimately, they had the daunting task of creating a new government, essentially figuring out a rule of law that could best allow people to coexist in freedom. One major advantage they had was their recent bout with oppression from which they could draw all the great examples of what NOT to do. I think we've forgotten what that must have been like in just over 200 years. We've become complacent with every new political move, assuming each is in line with the Constitution because "they couldn't do it if it wasn't, right?" Don't forget the great number of non-Christians in this country who are protected by the Constitution as well. They are just as much affected by the emerging socialist agenda as anyone. Various people can find various types of inspiration in the Constitution, be it "divinity" or "wisdom" or just good old-fashioned "freedom."
